São Paulo, Brazil - A search marketing professionals network, build by ten former Ireland-based googlers makes its debut on the web today. SEO and Google Advertising focused offices located in Spain, Germany, Brazil, France and Austria launch the SearchQualityAlliance.com-Team. They will share Seo best practices and information among associated offices spread those countries, all managed by former search quality googlers.
What will it do?
It is not SQA’s task to promise any client a first place on Google’s search engine results page, nor will it give away any relevant information about what Google is up to. However they are supposed to focus on building in antidotes and work the sites’ landscape aiming fewer downgrades in search engines’ ranking and help their associates to perform a better job on their assignments.
“We are planning to organize SEO workshops with an international focus. As former Googlers we see it as our mission to teach as many people as possible how to execute successful search engine optimization and to be consistent with the Google Webmaster guidelines at the same time” says Jonas Weber from webhelps!
In Brazil, Engeeno, formed by former Google strategists Pedro Dias and Ariel Lambrecht is so far the only partner in the Americas. Both professionals do not disclose what kind of techniques they’ll be using to perform their assignments, but it’s plausible and correct to assume that after years of working at Google’s search quality team, they must have absorbed knowledge of how a search engine does its work and what risks a site is in. Considering, for as an example, the Panda Update. “I’m not allowed, due to NDA, to disclose any kind of privileged information I may have after working years at Google” says Pedro Dias. “But, yes, it makes sense thinking that we are quite ahead in detecting any trouble a website might get into in the upcoming months”, answers Lambrecht. Engeenos’ business rests mainly upon search marketing risk assessment, and as a third party SEO verification, acting as a middleman between hiring companies and website optimization shops.
In a conversation with Ariel and Pedro, I learn that user experience orientated updates, such as Panda, will become more and more frequent, so when it comes to human engagement in websites and efficiency of sharing quality content (quality in the eyes of Google), those are signals that should be taken very seriously by website owners.
Tools and revenue
All associated SearchQualityAlliance offices share a common pool of tools combining available resources plus some specific applications written by themselves. “Since no tool available on the market today is neither 100% reliable or accurate, we prefer to build up our own solutions”, says Sebastien Monnier, head of France-based SEO Shop Woptimo, part of the SQA-Team.
“As aspect we considered when writing the softwares and choosing which third party apps to use, was how much bandwidth they use – this is, after all, a business”, he emphasizes.
Taking part at SQA is supposed to increase offices income by 50%. Altogether SearchQualityAlliance offices expect to make 8 million US dollars in the first year.
SQA is not to enter any partnership with SEO Shops aside of those founded by former googlers.
